I rarely listen to the radio in Los Angeles but I’m glad I did today. Just found out it is Bike to Work Week here. There are a bunch of events going on this week. You can win prizes by pledging to ride your bike to work on Thursday. Yes, it kinda sounds cheesey but anything to promote cycling in this car infested city I’m all for supporting. I’ll be clocking in my 14 miles to the garment district downtown. Can’t purchase any bolts of fabric for obvious transportation limitations but I can still fill my basket with feathers and notions!!

Cool! In Sydney we have a “ride your bike to work day” once a year. But a week makes more sense as it would receive far more exposure!
