Candy Cranks

So it has been a while since my last post and the reason is that I have packed up the old bikey and took to the road for a 2 month road trip in west coast of America! First stop ? California, where I’m staying in Costa Mesa with friends and hanging out with the lovely ladies of  LA Fixed and riding a lot ! I am really enjoy the riding here which is the complete opposite of London.  Where as we tend to run lighter gearing to swerve through the heavy, slow moving  streets  the LA crowd run super high so they can cane it the long and straight roads.  Traffic here is unforgiving and its not an easy place to ride so full respect from me to the fixed community here.  

I went on an LA Fixed ladies ride and it was great to see girls of all ages turn up to spend an afternoon on bikes together. From LA I took off to Seattle, which was awesome. So good infact, I’m heading back there soon for a couple of weeks so I can ride more there and in Portland. Seattle riding is way steep so when I return I think i’ll be putting on my clamp on brake for those hills!  Back to LA for now, before I head off to ride  SF and then roadtrip it from SF to Vegas ! Bike riding on the strip? Hell yeah!
