Candy Cranks

Wow, what a day – this being the first ride I’d ever organised I was more than a little nervous about leading a large amount of ladies safely through the streets of London, without getting lost or attacked by traffic. I needn’t had worried. The weather was scorching and we had an amazing turn out of ladies on all types of bikes – including a Penny Farthing! After being told off by a frustrated copper for riding in front of Buckingham palace ( he wasn’t too happy after the 20th lady rode past!) We headed off through the streets of London, along the river and down to Richmond Park where we enjoyed a fantastic picnic by the ponds, then a great roll back to the pub for a much needed cold pint and to be met by our boys. Thanks to everyone who helped made this happen, and the strong lady riders who helped with traffic. I couldn’t have done it without you. Can’t wait until the next one! More photos here
