Urban Outfitters is now selling custom made bikes, by Republic Bikes. You can go on their site and check out their “bike shop.” My friend who used to work at a bike shop that had a couple of these bikes come in and most of the people that came in had to replace almost everything on the bike because it was poor quality. I personally havent seen anyone ride these around my area and frankly im glad because i wouldnt want anyone to get hurt because their bike was crap.
The concept of custom making your bike on a site is pretty genius, but i think it should be more intimate then that.

Great link.
I love the customisation options. Just a bit of a shame it about the bike invovled.
A few very similar (if not the same make) bikes have been appearing on Ebay UK for several months now for £200. This is approximately what you would expect to pay for a good set of wheels+ tyres. So you can’t really expect the quality of a complete bike for this much to be fantastic.

So, I have said this before on Prolly. Republic Bikes are based out of Dania Beach, Florida. They are the same company that makes Citizen Bike(folding bikes) I went to their warehouse a few weeks ago and spoke with Avery. He was telling me about this whole deal they worked out with UO. I kinda just smiled and laughed. The price is great. But always remember, you get what you pay for. They are beater bikes. THATS IT!!! Dont try to go to the velodrome with them.
