Adidas cleated shoes

I first met Frag at the Wednesday night fixed rides. I love Adidas shell toes and I couldn’t help but notice his purple and white limited edition numbers with gold accents. The fact they matched his purple and white bike also didn’t escape my attention. While casting furtive glances at said shoe/bike combo, I noted that he seemed to be ‘clipping in’ whenever we took off. I was like “Huh…?”. On closer inspection he explained to me that he had actually customised his trainers to contain cleats! Genius!

I find cleated shoes generally are fairly unattractive and weird to walk in, (why do they make them look like your about to mount the Starship Enterprise and ride into a distant galaxy?) this was definately a combo I could appreciate! I’m about due to for a new pair of trainers, watch out Frag, you may have a pair of size 5 shell noses coming at ya for a make over!

I’d sacrifice one of my many many pairs of shell toes if this works…hmm wouldn’t my reflective ink printed ones make awesome cycling shoes!

Yeah me too! I’m definitely going to give it a try, I’ll let you know how I get on, if all goes well I’ll be round for your reflective numbers ;)

    these look sweet.
did the guy insert anything into them to help reduce the flex of the shoe?

I would love to do this to my shoes. Anyway you could get this guy to post a tutorial or something?

got a project like that on the bench but haven’t managed to perfect it yet. methinks the old KT26ers have too much soul. I might have to try with the sneakers.
