Punani Pedal Club from Hawaii here as a new author contributing to Candy Cranks!

Basically, the club was created lady bikers who were sick of testosterone filled boys that run red lights and bike fast. Honolulu isn’t the safest of cities and certainly not very bike friendly, with disappearing bike lanes and terrible drivers. The mission of sorts for Punani Pedal is to create a safe and fun group atmosphere for biking to encourage more girls to ride, without feeling intimidated by the crazy fixed gear boys we have here. Though all are encouraged to come on our rides, we want to support our female bikers and keep the speed down and the fun rolling!
