The first time I saw Bikedance was via Rie from Nagoya. I had no idea there are bicycle dance teams all over, here are just a few I’ve come across recently.

The Dérailleurs out of San Fransisco.

The Sprockettes out of Portland.
The BC Clettes out of Vancouver. Flickr pics credit.
It sure looks like they have a blast! I’d love to see a performance, come to Sydney girls, show us how it’s done!

A nice history:

Agent Chaos’ history was written before the inception of Japan’s new bike dance troupe, which you’ve covered:

Oh, and BTW, the Bicycle Belles are from Seattle, Washington.
These groups are so inspiring. Their performances make powerful comments on transportation choices, body image acceptance, creativity, DIY, and fun.

Yeah, there’s a ton. There’s also the Portland-based all-dude team, ‘Chain Reaction’, Vancouver BC’s ‘Brakes’, Victoria BC’s ‘Velovixens’, the UK can boast the ‘Spokes’…
Taking the world by storm!

Wowsers, thanks for the heads up guys! I had no idea it was so popular. I’ve definitely never seen anything like it in Australia, it looks like a ton of fun!
