If it comes to the topic of climate change, one is being confronted with a long list of things that aren´t allowed anymore. However, to speed up the necessary change in our society, we don´t need prohibitions, but examples, dreams and social experiments.
The DJ is only going to be able to play, if there´s enough people (minimum of 4 at a time) producing power by cycling. Which means the DJ can only give you something - music - as long as you´re giving him something - energy. Pretty simple.
The Green Music Fahrrad Disko has it´s premiere on thursday, 19. August 2010 in Berlin. The event starts with a bike tour from Bar 25 at 5pm, which is gonna lead to a secret location. There, DJs of Bar 25 will play as long as enough power is being produced.

World Hardcourt Bike Polo Championships in Berlin - August 13-15 2010.
Berlin is proud to host the 2nd Annual World Hardcourt Bike Polo Championships! This event will bring 64 of the best teams from around the globe for a three-day tournament to be held at the new Berlin venue, the four-court Sportcenter Rennbahnstraße Berlin-Weissensee! The event is being organized by the same crew that hosted the Bike Polo competition of last years’ 14th Annual European Cycle Messenger Championships at Tempelhof Airport.
Copenhagen Parts have come up with a very clever thing - an integrated handlebar and basket.
It’s made from heat-treated alloy tubing and rod, making it lightweight and robust. It can be installed just like any normal handlebar by attaching it to the bicycle using a two part stem (A-head stem).
The bike porter has been nominated as Best Bicycle Accessory 2010 by the Munich Bike Expo and also goes very well with veloheld bikes.
Two weeks ago I went to Dresden to visit some friends but also to see the Dresden premiere of the FIXED CITY movie. The evening was organized by the veloheld crew who had also setup a monopoly alley cat prior to the viewing.
A big crowd showed up, awesome location, lots of bikes, party afterwards. e r t z u i ° film shot a nice summary of the whole night:
Just a quick edit of the FXC premiere @ Dresden.
..what a race, what a night! Big ups to the Dresden crew!

The forecast didn´t look too bad today so I decided to swipe the dust off the rocky, free it out of the basement and finally take it for a ride again after this long long winter.
It was still pretty cold, but it felt so good to be cycling again - a bit through the city, along the canal, a bit further out and back home through some suburbs.
Even the rain that caught me on the last bit couldn´t take that happy feeling away….finally really being on the bike again (not just from home to work and back), riding along and seeing spring peek around the corners (oh those cherry blossoms….) here and there.
Looking forward to a long spring and summer with lots of nice rides, hopefully some of them a bit more in the countryside. And maybe I´ll even give the road bike another try, I guess it would suit the surroundings of berlin much better then the rocky…
However as I am a bit unsure about sizes, I was wondering wether any of you readers has a bag like this (or knows someone who does) and knows how well (or not) the medium or small size bag would fit a 15″macbook.
of course, recommendations for anything better is welcome, too.
It snowed like crazy and I took the opportunity to go out for an hour or so and film myself trying some tricks. Shot and edited in 3 hours. Nothing special, just looks pretty. Riding bmx in the snow is damn near impossible!
5D MkII w/ Sigma 70-200mm 2.8 is my camera.
Efterklang - “Mirador” is the song you heard .
iloveqp.com is my website.
openbicycle.com is where i fix my bike.
I haven´t been posting for a while as there´s not much going on with cycling for me at the moment. my bike actually hasn´t been out of the basement much for the last weeks at all, because of all this bloody snow and ice that just won´t go away.
However, I just came across this music video by finish band helsinki 78-82 and it just made we wanna get on my bike and go cruisin’ again, right away. Can´t wait for spring to finally arrive…
