The hungarian track championship will start in 2010 on Sunday 22th August until Tuesday 24th August on Millenáris Velodrome!

The Velodrome measures 412 meters with an asphalt surface and it’s one of the oldest outdoor Velodromes in Europe whic was built in 1896.

The main events:
- Individual pursuit
- Team pursuit
- Scratch race
- Point race
- Sprint
- Team sprint
- Keirin
- Track time trial

Less than one month up the Hungarian Track Cycling Cup!!!

We had the last training competition in Millenáris (Milli) Velodrome last saturday!

The race getting hard … I’m still not in form, but I try after!

So the messenger competition to shut down… It was a great time in Budapest, many messenger arrived not only from Europe. You know as well that Rie too from Nagoya with her coffee bike!!! (I have to tell You guys I never drink coffee, I don’t like it, but this is something different, so delicious… love it)

This 3 days past so fast, we had many program in the daytime: bike polo, foot down, sprint in Velodrome after we had a nice group ride in the city to the next place, what is an interesting old socialist factory. First night we had a fashion show and concert and we tried hungarian drinks!

The next two days was pretty hard, everybody ride hard and the rout was not easy. The main race, the skid, and everything was very exciting, we had girls as well too. One of the best race was the Gold Sprint, where Sarah from Britain was the fastest!
The factory was a good choose, because only we was there and it was so free feeling, like in a festival and we don’t had to worried about the bikes, it was such a nice landscape… everywhere bicycles!!!
So the Finals on Monday was really exciting, in the foot down finals Sabrina from Poland was the only girl Here You can check the results
We had there the youngest messenger too, Izuru&Izumi from Nagoya took the 2 years old baby, He is already riding… and You can see his messenger bag… ) so cute

Miss me so much this days… we had so much funs, everybody was so cool and nice, we had nice parties and now all around the world knows a bit about Hungary and Palinka (shot) …
Tuesday we had a sightseeing group ride with the Guide Kole from Canada who was a guide/messenger here in Budapest, I think it’s a beautiful city!
And thanks Rie, we had so great time together !!!

After last September’s full-house fashion show and party at Merlin, Cyclechic, the after-party of Critical Mass, is back! The cycle-themed event on April 24th will be brought to you by the one-year-old cyclechic.hu website, having joined forces with MTV Switch and West-Balkán to celebrate everything bike and fashion related and show that long gone are the times when cycling was considered geeky and frumpish. The all-night extravaganza will kick off at 8:30 p.m. with not one but three fashion shows, showcasing the latest trends for you (and your two-wheeler) to savor.

I’m Linda from Budapest (Hungary) here! I would like to show You what’s going on in Budapest!

A bit of background info – I’m a racer in a cycling team . I work like a fashion editor for a magazine, so I’m a stylist and I write a blog with 2 friends, the Hungarian Cycle Chic – “Stylish bikers, biker styles”. Please check out here: cyclechic.blog.hu We had a Fashion Show last Saturday, it was a Critical Mass after party, having joined forces with MTV Switch and West-Balkán Bar to celebrate everything bike and fashion related and show that long gone are the times when cycling was considered geeky and frumpish.

And… Once in a year, European messengers converge to decide who are the fastest, smartest and trickiest messengers of that year and this competition will be held in Budapest, Hungary, between 22-24 May, 2010 (Pentecost weekend). The races will take place on two different locations in the city, on the Millenaris Velodrome (22 May) and in the Csepel Művek (23-24 May).
