Hi all! It’s been a while since I’ve posted, so I have a backlog from NYC to catch up on. Happy first day of fall!
I just heard of this NYC-based group, Bike New York. They are holding on October 2nd the “Bike Like a Driver” clinic and “Bike to School Day.” Wow! Not sure how I’d feel sacrificing my little one to the NYC streets at a tender age, but more power to the kiddies.
You can read about the event on Bike New York’s website: http://www.bikenewyork.org/education/classes/bike_to_school.html.
If you want to sacrifice — I mean, sign up — a little sprout, email the kid’s name and age to classes@bikenewyork.org.
Made from solid wood (in this case, Walnut) and suspended by a solid steel square rod mount, this shelf can hold both your bike, as well as anything else you want on it quite easily. If you want to just showcase your bike, that’s fine, but if you want to utilize the space for books, flowers, bike accessories, etc., that’s what it’s there for.
Love this bike rack from Knife and Saw. Beautiful and functional, made from walnut and starting at $270.

So unfortunately there’s not a skatepark within the city of Memphis, so I have to drive pretty far to get to the nearest one. It’s kind of a pain in the ass, but it’s so much nicer to practice in a skatepark. Here’s some pictures we took riding in one about 20 miles from Memphis.
There’s a couple more pictures you can check out at my flickr.
Yikes! Came across these on ebay, not sure I’d be in any hurry to rush out and try some. I reckon you could probably do yourself some serious mischief.
And what’s even more disturbing is the guy in ad is without a bike!

Everybody was having a blast!, many people from out of town are coming to celebrate this first Fixed Gear annual event present by Rocket, in Jakarta, Indonesia. So many prizes, nice people, good food, and the most burnin’ is the trick battle contest, I must say that Bandung riders have many great potential to be the king of trick contest cuz their showin’ their hot stuff to the surface with full of soul and very entertaining, yeah! they really got their got attitude.. salute!. Yogyakarta got their own special hardcore tricks, rough and tough. And special from Jakarta you got a very promising young star, 18 years old Bari Sony Wicksono and 19 years old Herry Patriawan. That’s it for today folks, can’t wait for the next fixed gear events. Cheers!

Cyclo tyres are switched on using a motion sensor within the tyre, high powered, tough and durable LED bulbs are built into the tread or wall of the tyre and can either flash or be permanently on, so when the wheel turns at any speed, a perfect ring of light is formed whilst continually and perpetually creating it’s own power.
Hey Sydneysiders! Head to Sydney Town Hall 6pm Tuesday 3rd August (today) to show your support for future plans to introduce a people friendly cycleway network.
It also coincides with an Alan jones inspired protest that’s planned for the same time.
If you’d like one of the super cute tees, check out the Three Point Turnz shop.
