Blue Bottle Coffee is definitely some of the best coffee you can get in San Francisco, and… I’m just going to go ahead and put it out there and say, maybe also, in the *world*.
It’s really good! This morning I rode to b.b. for more beans, locked up outside.

And then as I was getting ready to leave this guy came outside to tell me that my bike looks really *spicy* which, is good. I think. Right?
Happy New Year, Everybody!
I hope your twenty-ten is filled with great cups of coffee and lots of bike compliments. <3!

Love these coffee cup holders from Austrian design studio Paulbaut. I would so use one of these, I know it’s not clever to ride with a coffee in yer hand but luckily my local cafe only makes coffee luke warm so my many spills haven’t caused any damage to my legs!
” ‘Ring-o-star’ can be attached to handlebars of the bicycle by tightening the expander bolt. It’s made of silicone and aluminum and comes in 6 different colors.”

Another great day was had at the Coffee Crawl, an event organised by the Le Pista Resistance guys, and it was awesome to see some more girls out this time. Everyone gathered at Taylor Square before heading off to Sable and Argent for our first coffee and a spot of track standing. There were some super prizes handed out before we headed off to Harry’s Cafe De Wheels for a pie. It was then over the Harbour Bridge to Crows Nest for another coffee stop and some nibbles. The clouds were threatening so we took off again and headed over to Deus Ex Machina for some foot down and more fab prizes.
I forgot my camera so I’m blatantly ripping off Lewis and Stephan’s photos, you can see some more snaps here.

They say it happens it threes, I don’t know who ‘they’ are but apparently ‘they’ are right. Three flat tyres in three days. It started with my Steiger, a cruise around Centennial Park one morning, gorgeous day, wind in my hair, then ker-lump, ker-lump. That horrible clunky feeling of rim spinning on rubber, minus the air. I never carry a spare tube, tools, pump and all the gadgetry needed to fix it, so I walked my bike home, for 1 hour.
The next day, I’m on the road bike, going to a meeting in Surry Hills, ker-lump. Oh no! Another flat tyre, and obviously I hadn’t replaced the tube in the Steiger yet (lazy) so I’m gonna be late for the meeting, have to re-schedule.
Well with 2 flats and still I haven’t replaced the tubes, I decide to take my Vespa aka Gino (named after my first boyfriend who use to double me around on his BMX when he did the paper round). I attempt to roll him out of the garage but he’s so hard to push. You’ve got to be kidding, he has a flat tyre too! I couldn’t believe it. So after getting the tyre changed (no I didn’t do that one either) I had to take Gino to get a replacement tube and I took him to Sable and Argent. A cool all things bike place in Woolloomooloo. They not only sell and repair scooters and bikes they also make a cracking coffee with a cosy area to hang about while you wait. You should try not to wait there too long as you will be tempted to buy some of the lovely accessories they have about the place, lucky for me I only had a tube to fix, I managed to get out quickly without new cranks, a new jacket and handmade leather saddle.

Gino with a new pumped up tyre.

Any place that has an Arne Jacobsen – esque chair gets a thumbs up from me!

Love this crazy bar tape.

Some coffee while you wait.

This old battler is always parked outside a cafe in Kirrbilli. Looks like it’s lead a pretty full life.

The guys at Le Pista Resistance have organised a coffee crawl ride at the very respectable hour of 11am on Sat June 27.
“This is going to be a super casual ride. Touring the cafe’s of Sydney with compulsory coffee consumption at each pit-stop. This is the chance to bust out your Pub Bikes and Cafe Cruisers.”

What better way to finish a ride than to stop at the Lindt Chocolate Cafe in Martin Place and fall into a sugar coma.

Boneshakers in Brooklyn is a great cafe in Greenpoint with bikes, vegan treats and coffee. Brought to us by the peeps from Trackstar, its a great place to catch your breath after an early morning ride.
