This last Sunday the boys from from Jakarta Bikerack and I have a chance to attend an event called Tenxector, this event was provide by Sector, a local fixed gear community in Jakarta and Tendencies, local clothing label. We started at 6 o’clock in the morning until 5 pm , the air is pretty hot and suddenly a bit of rain dripping, but it was just temporary. My friend Mamad submitting the race, it’s a bit hardcore I tell ya, between the traffic and all but it was cool and still under control, the main part that we all having fun, Mamad won the 2nd place. My favorite race to watch it was custom low rider bicycle drag race! they were awesome! just brings out the smile in everybody’s face. Before I go home I closed the Sunday night out with the boys grab a bite to eat then go to the movies…What a day. Warm greetings to Sector, can’t wait for their next event.
A few years ago whilst traveling through Nepal, Tarn and I were lucky enough to meet Tangi. A lovely French guy who had previously ridden professionally for Commencal. He lives in Pokhara during the summer months taking tourists out on rides, the riding in Nepal is amazing and breathtakingly beautiful.
In this video Tangi journeys from Kathmandu to the high Himalayas in the Solukhumbu region of Nepal. Here he climbs (for 2 days!!) and rides the virgin peak of Pikey discovering exciting trails, snow capped vista’s, and some sort of inner peace. A once in a life time trip to discover some of Nepal’s hidden secrets.

Tales From The Crit is the first-ever Fixed Gear Criterium race ever organized locally. Organized by a small group of cycling enthusiasts, the race will be an opportunity to bring together as many Fixed Gear cyclists from around the region in this community that has been steadily growing. The race is not about finding out who has the fastest legs and the strongest lungs but a chance to tighten the cycling community. We, the organizers are hoping that this event will not be the first and last of its kind here in Singapore but we are hoping that it will grow into a must-go event that happens annually or even bi-annually
