An awesome cycling chick, Marissa Eshima, who is completing an art degree at the University of Hawaii has created some super neat bicycle prints. They were made with 2-4 woodblocks each, with inspiration from her friends’ bicycles. She has made 9 prints that I am aware of, with these few being my favourites.

In the spirit of The Fantastic Four being a fun and relatively safe late nite spookycat, the BBG is giving racers a preview of the checkpoint destinations. Thanks to Matt Urlaub for designing this KILLER map! See you guys on Saturday!
The Bike Film Festival is in it’s tenth year and it’s coming to Sydney! There looks to be plenty happening this year, exhibitions, opening parties, closing parties, a street fair (Candy Cranks will have a stall there) and of course the screening of toptastic short bike films. For more updates go to the BFF facebook page and for more screening info times and locations check out theBFF website.

LLAZY is shooting a music video Sunday evening at the corner of Mulberry and St. Louis Ave in the West Bottoms around 9:30/10. They need a big gang of bikers to be filmed chasing them! Think……
Here’s more info from the director, Joshua Gately:
“Have you ever wanted to back hand Zachary VanB or punch Michael Boles in the stomach? We’ll here is your chance to pretend. I am shooting a scene to be used as a rear projection in an upcoming music video for Llazy. Here is the low down: dress gutter punk as fukc (I’m thinkin’ Repoman, Decline of Western Civilization, Road Warrior, or just don’t bathe and wear black w/ safety pins) and show up on a bicycle because it’s a chase …scene and I will be filming everyone following me down N James ST to the Louis and Clark Trail and under HWY 69. I am no Ed Wood so we will probably do three takes and if anyone has one of those helmet cams bring it along. I could use some fill shots for jump cuts. Weapons are encouraged (bats, chains, maces, but absolutely NO FIREARMS) I need some bludgeoning footage. Bring friends. The bigger the crowd the better. I will supply some beer and water for hydration.“
I know it’s been a while since our last ride and you all likely have your knickers in a bunch. Well the wait is over! The unbearable heat of summer has finally left us. Autumn is here so it is time to take that tweed out of mothballs, set that dapper cap upon your fair head, and straddle your two wheeled steed for the…

As always the ride will sport your fellow dashing riders!
The ending festivities and contest is sponsored by the San Francisco based Rickshaw Bagworks, makers of fine stylish bags — including their quite dapper tweed messenger bags! Rickshaw Bagworks is a supporter of the SF Bicycle Coalition and makes their bags right here in San Francisco. The SF Tweed Autumn Ride festivities will be hosted at the Rickshaw Bagworks location on 904 22nd Street, San Francisco, CA.
McPuzo & Trotsky
During the festivities, the fabulous McPuzo & Trotsky have agreed to entertain the tweed brethren! This local Bay Area banjo and fiddle pair have been writing fine Songs which Satirize and Amuse since 1917. Before that it was pretty much all crowbars and playing with leeches.
