Love Wheels Nagoya 2010 calendar was huge hit and we received so many amazing responses from just about every corner of the planet, Europe, US, Australia, Asia… including Afghanistan too. Thank you.
The 2011 Love Wheels Nagoya calendar is now available. I worked on all photo and layout/design of the calendar this year. I know it’s a bit late to advertise and printing a 2011 calendar now but yes, we always like to do different things, our calendar runs from February 2011 to February 2012. So you still get your 12 months. And this is also useful to use as a guide book to cycling into Nagoya City. We Nagoya local cycle girls are backing posing with our rides and favorite spots in Nagoya City.
Special Thanks to our sponsor. I feel so much love from you.
We love meeting with you guys from around the world and we’re eager to show you our fun city. Come see the real thing in Nagoya!
Calendars are available here. We will ship anywhere all over the all over the world!

What’s the bike scene like in Richmond, VA for females?
It’s growing! There are a ton of ladies in the city that ride bikes for fun and as a mode of transportation. I feel that more females are getting involved in the riding and racing community than ever before. Cycling can often be intimidating for women because it is male-dominated sport, but the ladies are sticking together and carving their own place in the RVA bike scene.
What’s your favourite ride right now?
That’s a tough question to answer, but I have to say that my favourite bike will always be my track bike, a pink EAI Bareknuckle. It was my daily (and only) ride for over 3 years and although I have several other bikes, I always have so much fun speeding through the city with no brakes!
Where’s your favourite place to ride?
I really enjoy riding off-road whether it’s on a mountain bike or a cyclocross bike. It’s a great escape from city riding and you don’t have to worry about car traffic… just rocks and trees.
Favourite riding outfit: As much as I enjoy wearing spandex, jean shorts and a tank or hoodie work just as well for me.
Favourite food: Almond milk ice cream
Favourite movie: I usually can’t sit still to watch an entire movie, but Breaking Away is a good one.
Favourite books: Crime and Punishment and The Little Prince
What makes you laugh? I usually make myself laugh, although I tend to smile/giggle at just about everything
What makes you angry? It is very hard to make me angry, but I can get irritated when I see people riding bikes with the saddle way too low (or occasionally too high).
What are you listening to on your I-pod? I have an I-pod somewhere… I think?
Do you have any pets? Does a sock monkey count? He’s pink and his name is George

The girls of Hub Honeys got together for our January bike, craft and social event. The agenda this week was to create top-tube protectors! We “liberated” a banner from the university to use as material, along with foam pipe insulation and button snaps. They turned out pretty cool! Here’s some pics I took from the evening..

Hey its been ages since i’ve posted here , been soo busy ! sorry ;o
My friend Greg , Richard , Movie and I started the Glasgow Bike shed in july. Its a non profit organization where people donate old or unwanted bikes and we recycle them and their components. We run bike maintenance classes so people can learn how to fix and look after their own bikes and also take on volunteers who will eventually be put through their bike mechanics qualification after a week long course. Anyone can come in and use ours tools and stands to fix their own bike, we also have 2nd hand parts for very cheap that could replace the worn out parts of your bike and if anyone gets stuck we are there to help although we encourage people to do it themselves so they learn. Its great for finding retro/vintage frames and parts and for somewhere to hang out . Its an amazing project ! everyone is very happy there… if your in glasgow fire down !

Happy New Year!! Hawaii got off to a great start with biking in 2011. Already its been full of group rides, polo and new friends. We are all feeling positive that this will be an amazing year!

On Monday, a Punani Pedal Club ride happened around town, visiting Christmas tree park, Magic Island and downtown. Sadly, the ladies were way outnumbered by the guys, but we still had fun! Everyone was respectful and the group stuck together well.. overall, awesome! (Photos: Michael Keany)

And finally, we welcomed a new member to our Honolulu bike family, Eilif from Oregon who escaped the cold and landed in Hawaii with just his bike and trailer and is living off the land. Shoots! (Photos: Michael Keany)

♥Meligrosa
city:
San Francisco
why:
The Pacific Ocean or the Bay are within a couple of miles. Troublemaker and overly curious by nature, my bike the Frenchie takes me any time and everywhere I need to be. Coffee stops are obligatory. Looks like I’m picking my nose, but I was removing my shades, just spotted a friend we chatted for some time. OK, maybe picking my nose…
I love running into my friends in the bike lane all over the City.
Riding is awesome. The fog is awesome. San Francisco is awesome. Bikebikebike!!!

What I love about riding: Bombing a hill and ending with a long skid. Showing up to places all sweaty knowing I had way more fun getting there than everyone else. People telling me, “Nice bike”, and the pride I feel knowing I built her myself. People asking me about my polo bike and what my mallet is for in the bar afterwards. Finding new places and adventures that the masses will never find. It’s all great <3
