My friend Tyler (aka Methdad) has organized an insane event in Murfreesboro, TN for next Saturday (April 10th). Keith and I will definitely be there, and any one who can make it out really should; this is going to be A LOT of fun! Full line up of bands can be found here.

“Tour de Fun is going to be a huge community bike ride, which will visit as many house shows as we can, with two bands playing 10 min sets each at each house. The cookout starts at 3pm at MOAB; bring some food and throw it on the grill. During the cookout there will be a foot down competition, trick competition, sprints, and a raffle. Around 6:30pm everyone will go to the first house, see two bands, then go to the next and see two bands, and so on. The ride will end at the Temptation Club, where there will be some more bands, d.j.’s, food, drinks, friends, and fun. The date for the ride is Saturday April 10th. Tour de Fun is the first step at creating a more tight and friendly bike community. It will also be showcasing a list of local artist and bands.” -Tyler Walker

I haven´t been posting for a while as there´s not much going on with cycling for me at the moment. my bike actually hasn´t been out of the basement much for the last weeks at all, because of all this bloody snow and ice that just won´t go away.

However, I just came across this music video by finish band helsinki 78-82 and it just made we wanna get on my bike and go cruisin’ again, right away. Can´t wait for spring to finally arrive…

I just wanted to share with you our one of the greatest bike event in Nagoya called NUTS!FES. I am a part of organizer of this event. The 1st NUTS! FES. in 2008 was a blast. Music, Camping, Socials, Friends, all brought together by Bicycle. Last year’s pics here. 

An open air festival aimed at raising awareness about pollution global warming, deforestation and other ecological issues. But this is a different kind of music fest because in this world of fast food fast cars and instant convenience, you can only entry by Bicycle!  We’ve also got organic food & beer, funny races, gold sprint, alley cat, girls bike dance… +more. And group ride from Nagoya City to the event location.

BICYCLE FRIENDS FOREVER!

Hello! We are Gacharinco!, the 1st fixed gear bicycle dance team in Japan.
On October 11 2009, Gacharinco! made the virgin performance at the Toyota Rock Festival in Nagoya.

Gacharinco! is the imitative sound in Japanese, the clipless pedals lock to the cleats when stepped in.

We were just dreaming of having fun with dancing and bicycle together! Our members are 14 girls (include 1 guy) made in miracle collaboration with real sexy dancers Panthers and fixie bike riders NUTS! Girls.

We ride on country rock and make sexy & cute moves. We love dots & stripes and chose red & white colors as Japanese flag. Red/white is also traditionally used as congratulation colors in Japan.

Our next show will be at NO CAR BIKE ONLY rave event NUTS!FES. on October 24th!
Keep your eyes open and get ready for your tires pumped!
